Weather and Our City In class we were talking about weather in our cities and how to describe our cities. Some of the vocabulary was it is sunny, it is hot, it is windy,it is raining, it is snowing and other words that describe weather. There was also vocabulary like skyscrapers, beach, ocean, mountain, buildings,downtown, close to, far away form and ohter descriptive words that teaches us about what are cities look like, how the weather is and where they are located. One assignment that we had to do on this concept was of waehter of other cities and what their climate was during a specific time of the year. Another assinment that we did was a letter to a cousin that we wanted pretending they would come and live with me for 6 months. We were suppose to write about what they would have to do and what the weather was at that currnet time.
I managed to learn a lot of words that Ihad used wrong and corrected them . Now I am able to speack, write, and read the weather times and discriptive words that we used for these assignments. After we did this I started using them correctly after having a life-time of mistakes of using the weather word wrong thinking I was using the correct words. I used my text book and the interent. I went on Google and used the weather toll . I sure learned a lot in this chapter. |

Crossword Puzzle Every time we finish or are about to finish a section, and then after we do all our chapter we always get a crossword puzzle as homework. That crossword puzzle helps us review our vocabulary from that section or a full chapter. This really helps because it is a fun way to review what you have learned so that you actually want to do it. It helps you review your vocabulary in a fun way.
This actually helps me learn the vocabulary that I did not learn and it helps me review the vocabulary I did learn. This is just like Science. Mrs. Poole, always gives us fun paperwork that has to do with what we learned. This is a fun way to remember and review what the class was about that day. Later when there is a test I simply review that work and it all comes back to me just like when I am doing a crossword. Puzzle. I used Google to do this presentation with the different aspects of the puzzle. I used the presentation tool to insert images and to fit everything just right so that it will look good and presentable. |

Irregular imperfect forms in Spainsh I did a presentation on the only three irregular imperfect forms. They are ver, ser, and ir. They are in english to see, to be, and to go. I was suppose to memorize the terms by doing a project. I did this short presentation to help me memorize them. I now know them all, because this really helped me memorize them. I am going to do another project soon that involves this project too. It is going to be a poster about my childhood. I will then use these forms to write an essay. In this project I learned the imperfect irregular forms.
This helped me remember the forms because I could go through each slide and repeat the words out loud. Then I tested myself by going to one slide and covering every other pare except the verb, and how I would day it. Either plural or singular. I was very helpful because I could teach myself in a fun way. It was fun because I got to find ways to teach myself and that made me feel very independent. This reminds me of the Preposition test we took for core. We had to memorize all the words on the list by section and only we knew how to memorize them the best. Here, it was the same thing, except know it was written and not oral. Google made it very easy for me to do this activity because it is very simple.Not only that, but I already knew how to use it. |
