In the article , Struggle For Smarts, it talks about the way they teach in Japan and how people will actually try to do  something right, and  some people just give up. It also talks about how a boy in the classroom could not draw a 3D cube. So the teacher told him to go up to the board, so he could work on his. That is much different than how teachers do it now, they usually put the best student to show as the example. Well that boy kept trying and trying until it was the end of the class and everyone applauded him  for finally getting it right. He sure was proud of himself. It also says that here in the U.S struggle because we are not smart, and over there they  see struggle an oppotunity to get it right or correct after hard work and thinking.
       I think we read this for a very important reason.
